Best Food Caterer review

1. Food & dishes were generally ok, 2 issues regarding customer service and delivery.
2. Was called multiple times prior to the event date that my delivery time was not available (even though its available for selection it at point of my order). ... More Said that will check with manager and revert, but each time it was the same outcome, and insisting that i accept an earlier time (30mins early) that was not what i had chosen. Too late to change to another vendor.
3. Actual delivery day, food came 30mins earlier than the 30mins forced to take, that's total 1 hour before the event start time. Food was lukewarm at best when guests started consuming.

Areas to improve (imo):
1. Do not accept the orders at a time if you're unable to fulfill. I can understand if there are limitations on kitchen/delivery staffs.
2. Stay compliant to the time agreed on. Especially for food related events, timing can be a key element. I can understand if it's due to traffic or other unforeseen factors but 1hour early was quite an astonishment.

Didn’t expect much during the festive season, but the food arrived warm and tasty. Pleasantly surprised!

Food was delivered on time but not warm at arrival. Taste was alright but not appetising. Fried foods (fish and chicken dishes) had too much batter rather than the meats. Portion was good.

Food was delivered on time despite on a CNY dinner timing.. food choices were sufficient and the portion given was just nice.. not much of leftover!

Foodline email indicated that order has been acknowledged and caterer will contact within one business day to confirm the order but no confirmation was received. It took me 2 days to finally get my call to them answered to confirm the status. As ... More for the food, out of all the dishes the cereal prawn was good.

Overall I would say value for money during CNY season. The portions are good. The curry chicken, fish fillet, thai golden tofu are the most popular but the pineapple fried rice is very oil and the scallop portion is too small.

The timing ... More co-ordination can be improved. Regardless how I emphasized and they acknowledged my booking is for 11.30 am (+/- half hours delivery), my food was delivery at 10.30 am!

Overall, the food quality was good, and quantity was more than enough.
The Cocktail Jelly was very refreshing though a bit sweet.
The potatoes & chicken in the Signature Curry Chicken were yummy and its gravy was thick and flavourful.
The 8 ... More Treasure Luo Han Veg were loaded with mushrooms.
Being the only fried item, the Breaded Scallop was the first to be finished off.

Due to the good reviews, ordered the Treasure Set for CNY Day 1 dinner for 15 pax.

Ordered for 7pm and food was delivered at 5.40pm so had to re-heat the food when my guests came at the appointed time

Also, maybe it is CNY and there were a ... More lot of orders from Best Food Caterer but the comments about the food from all my guests were negative, that the food was just edible.

There were a lot of leftovers.....
